Ever since the beginning of Hirschbach’s history in Sulzbach-Laufen, we have placed great importance on the careful use of wood as a raw material—from PEFC-certified sourcing to further processing. We are guided by a family-like environment combined with a passionate commitment to innovation and a forward-looking approach.
To this end, we rely on state-of-the-art technical equipment of our sawmill and our own biomass power plant (since June 2020), which primarily uses bark as fuel and helps meet our facility’s electricity needs.

Modern and efficient
As a customer, your product and your satisfaction are our top priority. With our small but efficient fleet of trucks, we’re able to transport large quantities throughout Europe on short notice. Because our wood comes from local forests, the distance from the forest to the sawmill is short. When manufacturing your products, we draw our electricity from our in-house biomass power plant—we reuse waste from sawmill production, such as bark, to generate energy.
