Woodworking Mechanic (m/f/d) Specializing in the Planing Industry
Location: 74429 Sulzbach-Laufen
As Woodworking Technician Specializing in the Planing Industry You ensure that wood—a natural and living raw material—is transformed into something new. The wood you work with is used, for example, as a building material, in homes, for interior design, or in the furniture industry.
For you: a challenging and varied role
- Working at the sawmill is a team effort. It’s not just a place to work—it’s also a place where you can make friends. – Working with wood also means working with other materials, state-of-the-art machinery, and cutting-edge technologies. As a woodworking mechanic specializing in the planing industry, you’ll, for example, sharpen planer blades or maintain them.
- Planing is used to produce tongue-and-groove boards (= profiled lumber), baseboards, handrails for staircases, and much more
- Modern sawmill equipment must be maintained and serviced. This, too, falls within the scope of a woodworking mechanic's responsibilities.

- Operation of planing machines and other equipment
- Processing Wood as a Raw Material
- Care and maintenance of high-quality equipment, modern machinery, and various tools
